UKWB is committed to making wheelchair basketball accessible to all by providing competitive opportunities, fostering player development, and growing the sport at every level. As a not-for-profit organisation, we strive to break down barriers, promote inclusivity, and ensure that anyone - regardless of ability or background - can experience the joy of basketball.

Our Trustees

Lee Fawcett

Lee co-founded UKWB alongside Ray McBride and is a former Paralympian. He also serves as the Director of Basketball at the Mohawks Wheelchair Basketball Club, where he plays a key role in developing the sport.

Debbie Readle

A dedicated volunteer, Debbie is a vital part of UKWB and wheelchair basketball across the North of England. She contributes significantly to the Mohawks Wheelchair Basketball Club, regularly serving as a table official and supporting the sport as a classifier.

Graeme Lambert

Committed to growing wheelchair basketball at all levels, Graeme is the Head Coach at The Bulls and plays a key role in UKWB as the Media & Marketing Officer. He is passionate about growing the sport and creating more opportunities for everyone.

Anne Mailer

Anne is a keen volunteer with Lothian Phoenix and Caledonia Unicorns, as well as being a Level 1 table official, and she coached both the Lothian Phoenix Women's Cup team and the Caledonia Unicorns Development League team in the 2026 season.

James Dynia

James wears many hats in the sport, including his heavy involvement on and off court with Wakefield Whirlwinds, playing and coaching at varying levels, and he also works for British Wheelchair Basketball in the membership team.
